Cities remain, in spite of their occasional ugliness, one of the most beautiful kinds of amalgamations of human effort. They are also a great place to find, of course-- people.
I have lived in cities for most of my life. This particular longform work, "City Of Drones", is comprised of seven pieces. One piece permeates the entire work; it is a re-working of "Mutescape", an actual field recording of an urban scene run through various filters and effects. The other six pieces are full of impressions of cities. They are largely drone in genre and use for the most part acoustic sources.
I hope this piece is fun to listen to and makes you think of all that is horrible and great about our urban centers.
